Designed as the heir to the famous A110, the A310 represented a generational leap in terms of design, aerodynamics, and performance. Produced in only 2,340 units between 1971 and 1976 with the Renault 1605cc engine derived from the R16 TS, the VF version is the truest to the original Alpine philosophy: lightweight, essential, with rear-wheel drive and mid-engine. This particular vehicle retains the rare original injection system, replaced during restoration with dual carburetors for a sportier response and simplified maintenance. The injection system is still available and included in the sale. History of the specimen First registered in Mantova in 1975, it was subsequently re-registered in 1979 with the SIENA plate, still present. It is accompanied by the original registration booklet. In 2009, the current owner – an experienced collector of 70s sports cars – found it in a state of abandonment, but with a surprising underlying originality. He then decided to undertake a complete and meticulous restoration, bringing the car back to its original aesthetic and mechanical specifications: Painting in the factory Metallic Champagne color Restoration of the blue fabric interior Complete overhaul of engine, transmission, systems, bodywork, and chassis In 2011, upon completion of the work, the car obtained the prestigious ASI homologation with Gold Plate, reserved for specimens of maximum historical-conservation rigor.
