Subsequently, the car was exported to the United States, where it remained for over fifty years, until 2007. In that year, it was re-imported to Italy in completely original condition: not restored, but structurally sound, complete with all period components and with the body panels in excellent condition. Before starting the restoration work, in order to ensure the full originality of the vehicle, on October 17, 2008, the Certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust was requested and obtained, confirming the total correspondence between chassis number, engine, bodywork, and original color combination. The complete restoration lasted over four years and was carried out by industry specialists, with absolute respect for originality and quality of materials. The original seats were completely disassembled to reconstruct the internal structure, padding, and wood while maintaining the original covers that were repositioned on the restored frames. At the end of the restoration, in 2012, the car finally obtained its first Italian registration. In 2009, it received the ASI Historical Relevance Certificate, while in 2024 it obtained the prestigious FIVA certification and, recently, it was accepted into the 1000 Miglia Register, a fundamental requirement to participate in the famous historical re-enactment known as "the most beautiful race in the world."
