The story
De Tomaso F1 from 1961 chassis 002 This car was built by De Tomaso in 1961 and was purchased new by Roberto Lippi who raced it with the colors of Scuderia Sette Colli in 1961/62/63. It was born with the OSCA 1.5 twin cam engine, then raced two events with the V6 Ferrari 1.5 engine and could also mount the Alfa Romeo 1.5 twin spark engine made by Conrero with dry sump etc. The car comes with a vast amount of historical documentation including photos and race results of the events it participated in and photos of the restoration phases, the chassis has been completely restored by Ermolli of Mornago (VA), all the suspension and brakes are fully restored, the wheels are new made by TMB 6×15 rear. 5×15 front with Dunlop Racing tires, The dashboard is complete with all its instruments and switches just overhauled, The gearbox is in the final stage of revision, (it comes with two De Tomaso-Citroen-Colotti gearboxes, first and second series depending on the engine mounted), the bodywork as can be seen is absolutely preserved with its original De Tomaso badges and the Fantuzzi badge of Modena that made the bodywork. The number 44 is that of its last participation in an F1 race, Monza 1963. This car is sold in these conditions or finished restoring and race-ready and is ideal for participating in the most important events reserved for these cars such as the G.P of MONACO.
