Year 2003 Condition Very beautiful car like new. This vehicle is in excellent condition with 88000 original and certified km from Porsche. Always serviced and kept covered in the garage. Interiors are in excellent condition. The bodywork is in excellent condition. The interiors are in good condition. The engine is brilliant and powerful, always serviced at Porsche with updated Service Book and last services at our trusted workshop. The vehicle is complete with its original Porsche folder with all its booklets. Additionally, we find a glass wind deflector, original stereo with 6 CD holder, parking sensors, anti-intrusion sound alarm, double keys. The hood is in excellent condition, shows no rust, has never been used on the track and the last service was performed in August 2024. Curiosities Starting from M.Y. 2003 (in production since autumn 2002) a slight restyling is made: the Boxster increases power to 228 HP and the Boxster S to 260 HP, essentially due to different electronic management; the engines remain almost unchanged. Both versions acquire the heated glass rear window, instead of the previous plastic one (which tends to become opaque over time) but with smaller dimensions. Modifications are also made to steering, navigation system, and interiors: in the cabin, passenger side, a glove compartment finally appears. The bumpers now have small differences compared to the previous ones in the front air intakes and shape, with consequent modifications also for the spoiler. The PSM electronic stability management system is now offered as an option, as well as xenon headlights, instead of the standard halogen headlights (Porsche Litronic system). At the Finnish plants, production, in August 2003, reaches the remarkable figure of 100,000 units. The 986 mkII represents the "swan song" for the Boxster 986 which, following the Porsche 911, will soon be replaced by a completely new model. Production of the 986 ceased in 2004 with the limited series 550 spyder (see the dedicated section).
