It is indeed originally registered with a Lucca license plate, a detail that distinguishes it and further increases its desirability, considering how limited the number of new E-Type OTS delivered in our country is. The heart of the car is the famous 3.8-liter XK engine, number RA6716-9, belonging to the same mechanical family that made the E-Type famous since its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961. Capable of bringing the car to over 240 km/h, the 3.8 combined with the close-ratio Moss gearbox represents the purest and sportiest interpretation of the first series, now coveted by collectors around the world. The production of the 3.8 OTS remained relatively contained, and finding a specimen with correct numbers and Italian history is now an increasingly rare event. Following some mandatory license plate changes at the time, necessitated when ownership was transferred to another province, the car was finally registered with its last plate in Milan on March 29, 1994. On that date, it passed to a new owner, who maintained it with great care until 2019, the year in which the vehicle was acquired by an important private collection, where it has remained to this day.
