The story

JAGUAR XK 150 FHC 3.4 LITRE – 1958 A masterpiece of elegance, performance, and excellence in restoration This extraordinary 1958 Jaguar XK 150 FHC (Fixed Head Coupé) 3.4 Litre represents one of the most fascinating and appreciated expressions of British automotive design from the second half of the twentieth century. Produced on October 28, 1958, it was shipped on November 10 to the JAGUAR CARS branch in New York (USA), where it was first registered in 1959. Later imported to Germany, in 2002 it was accompanied by FIVA certification, attesting to its historical authenticity and international value. In 2007 it obtained ASI technical certification, essential for registration in Italy, where it is now regularly registered and subjected to biennial technical checks. Exceptional restoration In 2014, this XK 150 underwent a complete, meticulous, and professional restoration, carried out according to the highest international standards. Every detail, both aesthetic and mechanical, has been restored to original specifications with a meticulous attention to quality and authenticity. The result is a specimen that today presents itself in excellent condition from every point of view, probably superior to the condition in which it left the factory in 1958. The quality of the work was confirmed by a professional appraisal drawn up in 2020, which attested to the car's value at the highest estimates for the model. Impeccable historical documentation In 2017, the vehicle was accompanied by the prestigious Jaguar Heritage Certificate, which certifies the original characteristics of the vehicle. Completing its important collecting history, in 2023 it obtained the ASI Certificate of Historical and Collectible Relevance, further official recognition of its uniqueness and relevance. Irresistible aesthetics & grand touring comfort The appealing metallic gray color combination with red Connolly leather interiors makes this specimen particularly elegant and desirable. The FHC model, compared to the roadster version, offers superior habitability and ideal driving comfort even for long journeys, while maintaining the sporty charm and sleek lines of the XK. Performance and technical characteristics The XK 150 3.4 Litre represented a substantial evolution compared to the XK 120 and XK 140 models, thanks to numerous technical and stylistic updates: Engine: 6 inline cylinders of 3,442 cc, with dual SU carburetors, capable of delivering a power of about 190 HP, with high performance for the time (over 200 km/h top speed). Disc brakes on all four wheels (the first Jaguar in series to be equipped with them), offering superior braking capacity compared to competitors of the time. Improved chassis and suspension for greater stability and comfort. 4-speed manual transmission, often accompanied by overdrive. Updated front design with panoramic windshield and more modern lines. The XK 150 model marked an important step forward in Jaguar's history: not only more powerful but also safer and more comfortable, it represented the pinnacle of the sports range before the introduction of the legendary E-Type.
