This car integrates a Cosworth DFV engine and benefits from the latest aerodynamic advances of the T282, giving birth to the T280-4 HU2 chassis. This formidable machine is acquired by Heinz Schulthess, a renowned Swiss gentleman driver, who had already distinguished himself since 1970 in Interserie and in national Sport Prototypes races with Grac and Lola T212. For the 1974 season, Schulthess takes a significant step by engaging the Lola T280-4 HU2, despite limited resources compared to the big teams. Thanks to financial support from Gulf Suisse, he participates in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and several rounds of the World Championship.
