The Abarth 1000 SP is a rare sports barchetta, born as a tribute to the legendary Fiat Abarth 1000 Sport Prototipo of 1966. Unveiled in 2021, it captures the essential spirit of Abarth competitions from the Sixties, reinterpreting it in a modern key. Built on the technical basis of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, it uses a central carbon fiber monocoque and an extremely lightweight structure. The engine is the 1.750 turbo four-cylinder mounted in a central position, capable of about 240 HP, paired with a dual-clutch transmission. With a weight of just over a ton, it offers very high performance and, above all, a weight/power ratio of a true sports car. The design is probably its most characteristic element: very low and compact bodywork, wraparound windshield, large air intakes, circular headlights, and the classic Abarth red. It does not seek to be a luxurious supercar: it is deliberately an essential machine, built around the joy of driving. Its uniqueness is mainly its rarity.
