Offered for sale is a Kirkham Cobra prepared to full FIA specifications and carrying the identity of the genuine 1965 car CSX CSX2562, officially registered in the United States at the time. Built in the early 2000s, the car has since enjoyed an active and successful competitive life. It has been driven by notable historic drivers including John Minshaw, Andrew Haddon, and Chris Milner, participating in prestigious events such as the Goodwood Members' Meeting and in Masters Historic Racing. The car is fully compliant with FIA regulations and meticulously maintained to the highest standards, making it a highly competitive and reliable entry for the world's major historic racing events. Mechanically, the car is presented in excellent condition. The gearbox and differential have covered only five races, while the engine has completed only two test sessions since its complete rebuild by renowned Cobra specialist Peter Knight, producing 461 hp at 6,800 rpm. The car is equipped with an MSD ignition system, compliant with Peter Auto regulations. Unique in its kind, this Cobra features the original FIA roadster specification, including the distinctive dashboard layout seen on CSX2345, making it the only Cobra currently configured this way. The car is race-ready and supplied with its Historic Technical Passport (HTP), recently expired and easy to renew, and comes with a spares package. It is eligible for all major historic racing series, as well as for renowned competitive rallies such as the Tour Auto and the Modena Cento Ore.
