#03 Sport Prototype C2 1987 for sale

Biarritz Sports and Classic Cars (BSCC) is pleased to present this ALD #03 Sport Prototype. Louis Descartes, driver and builder, decided in the mid-1980s to build vehicles to participate in the Sport Prototype World Championship from 1985 to 1991. Initially designed with a 4-cylinder Audi Turbo engine, Louis Descartes, due to reliability issues, decided to install the 6-cylinder BMW engine from the M1 just days before Le Mans 1987. This is the most titled ALD, fully refurbished in 1990 by Louis Descartes before offering it at auction to the previous owner. The latter sold it to its last owner in 2012. Due to its simple and economical design, the ALD will allow you to compete in prestigious Group C endurance races for a significantly lower budget than other participants. With an 11th place (overall) at Le Mans in 1987, its performance is proven. The engine has just been rebuilt, harnesses, fire extinguishers, and tanks will be compliant.
