This model quickly became a symbol of performance and agility, thanks to its lightness, aerodynamic design, and competitive capabilities. It was primarily designed for rallies, but also for road use, which allowed it to stand out as an accessible sports car. The Alpine A110 1600 SC was produced between 1973 and 1975 and represents an evolution of the A110 1600. The SC version (for Sport Competition) was designed to offer a better compromise between competitive performance and comfort for road use. The rear axle with oscillating half-shafts and 4 shock absorbers is replaced by that of the A310 with overlapping double triangles and two shock absorbers. The car gains a significantly more rigorous behavior, the SC is recognized as the most advanced road version ever built. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is an ALPINE A110 1600 SC from January 1975 in the color "Blu Alpine Metallizzato 341" vintage. The bodywork was completely repainted in 2018. On this occasion, the polyester shell received a new complete paint job (photo dossier available). It is still in excellent presentation condition today, with no signs of cracks, breaks, or non-compliant repairs. The paint is perfectly taut and shows excellent shine. Replacement of all badges and signs. This specimen was equipped a few years ago with a "Group 4" body kit with flared wheel arches. The wheel arches are in excellent condition. The 2 long-range CIBIE headlights are fully functional. The chrome bumpers are perfectly positioned and in perfect condition. The 4 vintage 13’’ GOTTI (073A) aluminum wheels have undergone sandblasting + painting treatment in 2018, and are in excellent condition. This specimen has the removable rear bumper compliant with the original.
