Together with the electric motor, located between the combustion engine and the transmission, the Valkyrie achieves a system power of 1,155 hp, with a curb weight of only 1,270 KG. The concept of active aerodynamics, which combines philosophies from Le Mans and Formula 1, produces so much aerodynamic downforce that, in addition to the DRS, special flaps have also been integrated into the diffuser, which reduce the aerodynamic load; otherwise, the road tires would explode under the gigantic force. To save weight and find space in Newey's compact creation, Aston Martin opted for a sequential gearbox from motorsport, which is smaller and lighter than a typical dual-clutch transmission.
