A complete and meticulous restoration was carried out for 2 years between 2005 and 2007. It is a project that the owner wanted to carry out with a restoration craftsman. 20 years later, one can only note the quality of the work as nothing has changed. And the real added value of this specimen is its charm. It has maintained its charm and authenticity, unlike some restored models that are too flashy. As for the bodywork, the work was done in body-off. The car was sandblasted, treated, and turned. Some parts were replaced (floors, bumpers). The Ice Blue/Ivory bi-tone was chosen in place of the Red/Ivory. Today it is in excellent condition with no defects. The lift allowed us to see the excellent condition of the floors, underbody, and bottoms. The chrome is shiny, not oxidized. The seals are almost new. The spoke wheels, vintage option, are beautifully presented. As for the upholstery, all elements had been changed: seats, seat covers, door panels, carpet, armrest... only high-quality English parts. Today the interior has maintained its beautiful post-restoration condition with slightly patinated upholstery. The instrumentation is functional. It has the entire hood mechanism and its almost new fabric. Finally, regarding the mechanics, it is equipped with the original inline 6-cylinder engine with side camshafts. All powered by two SU carburetors. This has been completely disassembled and refurbished with, among other things: - restoration of the crankshaft - replacement of the rocker arm shaft - replacement of intake and exhaust valves - replacement of pistons - installation of a damper pulley - replacement of connecting rod and main bearings Of course, all pipes, seals, clamps, filters have been reviewed. The gearbox has also been refurbished. It is the original with 4 gears + overdrive (vintage option). The rolling trains, braking system, and suspensions have been completely restored. To date, the car is kept in a garage specialized in collectible vehicles. Oil changes have just been carried out. The upholstery is regularly deep cleaned and the bodywork polished.
