135 M Cabriolet Pourtout 1948 for sale

Delahaye 135 M Cabriolet Pourtout from 1948. First example of this "transitional" model that combines pre-war style and the integral bridge line. It was displayed at the Pourtout stand at the 1948 Paris Motor Show. It participated in many Concours d'Elégance (such as Enghein-les-Bains in 1949 or the "La Grande Cascade" competition at Bois de Boulogne in 1949). Owned by the Marquis de Cuevas in 1952 (he owned and managed a famous ballet company). It then passed through the hands of several French owners. In 1988-1989, the bodywork, painting, and upholstery of the car were restored by the Atelier Automobiles Anciennes in Chambray-les-Tours (AAAT). Claude Pourtout, the son of Marcel Pourtout, who oversaw the restoration work, certified that this car was built by his father's company. Sold at auction in New York in 1989, the car has since been part of various American collections. This matching numbers car runs perfectly. Only 43,405 km since new.
