The story
Delahaye 148L by Chapron | Only 2 built | Restored | 1939 Highlights: - Only 2 cabriolet versions built - Built by coachbuilder Henri Chapron - Mylord style cabriolet - 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine Rare Delahaye 148L with Henri Chapron body for sale We offer for sale this beautiful and rare Delahaye 148L from 1939. On February 14, 1939, chassis number 60819 was delivered to the legendary coachbuilder Henri Chapron. Here it was fitted with a Cabriolet body "Mylord style", numbered 5975 by Chapron. The work was completed by the end of March that year and was finished to Grand Luxe specifications, including bespoke chrome work and luxury interior finishes. Today, chassis 60819 is a rare example of Chapron's distinctive Cabriolet body design, combining elegantly curved pontoon fenders with bold contrasting color lines. The use of chrome accents is understated, and the beautiful and well-balanced proportions for which Henri Chapron was famous are a hallmark of this great coachbuilder of France's golden age. The classic is powered by a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The Delahaye has been restored in the past and has received a new paint job. The cream-colored paint looks fantastic on the classic and contrasts nicely with the brown leather interior. The Delahaye is equipped with a black soft top.
