The plan included an ultra-rigid thin steel tubular chassis, adjustable suspensions, a powerful and reliable engine, optional carbon fiber for some body parts, all without any comfort elements or electronic driving aids as defined by the original concept: light is right. Thanks to this rigorous specification, the Donkervoort D8 presented in 1993 weighs less than 700 kg on the scale for 220 hp in the Cosworth version. Numerous evolutions will follow around this principle, powered by Ford and then by Audi. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a DONKERVOORT D8 COSWORTH from February 1994 in a vintage "White" color. The paint shows excellent depth and brightness. The aluminum bodywork is in excellent condition, with no signs of dents, deformations, or non-compliant repairs. After a professional polishing performed with an orbit from our workshop, we noticed a slight abrasion on the front and a small dent on the rear bumper passenger side. The tinted windshield and its carbon frame are in perfect condition. The carbon motorcycle fenders, fragile and very exposed, are in good condition and show no signs of impacts. The mohair hood color "Black" is in good condition, with no signs of wear or fading. The glasses have some shallow scratches but are neither cracked nor yellowed. The mohair side-screens color "Black" are in excellent condition, their assembly with the hood remains compliant with the original. This specimen also has its mohair luggage cover color "Black" in good condition. Its installation remains improvable on the passenger side. The 4 original 15'' wheels color "Black" are in excellent condition, with no signs of impacts or deformations. The 2 front TOYO PROXES R888 tires show less than 50% wear. The 2 rear tires will be replaced with new ones before delivery. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options present on this model, we noted: the carbon windshield frame, the carbon motorcycle fenders, the mohair luggage cover color "Black" and the rain kit (hood, arches, and doors). Interior: The interior is in good presentation condition. The black leather upholstery is in good original condition. This specimen is equipped with a DONKERVOORT shell seat driver side. This is in perfect condition. The passenger semi-shell seat with carbon headrest has some fine scratches on the outer edge. The black synthetic leather dashboard is in excellent condition. The entire original JAEGER onboard instrumentation is fully functional. This specimen is originally equipped with a DONKERVOORT turbo pressure gauge. The latter is fully functional. The ORECA 3-spoke alcantara steering wheel shows a patina of use. The aluminum gear knob and handbrake handle are in excellent condition.
