The base of the 308 being already excellent, the 328 evolves little from a stylistic point of view, with new wheels and new more enveloping front and rear bumpers. The interior also remains very close to the 308, with an identical speedometer block, now flanked by a half center console that groups the gauges and the radio. However, the chassis has been improved and receives new more efficient axles. The more generous tire equipment also contributes to the improvement of behavior. Likewise, the mechanics gain 200 cm3 of displacement thus torque at low revs, which was the weak point of Italian multi-valves in general. Reliable and less expensive to maintain thanks to the transverse layout of its V8, the 328 was a huge commercial success for FERRARI which achieved production volumes never reached before. The 328 will be offered in GTB version - berlinetta, 2-seater coupe - and GTS, convertible with removable targa roof, which is stored in a case behind the seats. It remains a fairly heavy steering at a standstill, a very average assembly quality even for the time. The habitability also remains reduced and the 328 does not accommodate large sizes in very good conditions. It is the price to pay for having a true berlinetta size, and a fabulous line. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented is a FERRARI 328 GTS delivered new in France by POZZI Levallois in August 1987, in its original color "Rosso Corsa FER 300/9" (matching color). The bodywork was restored by a specialist a few years ago and on this occasion the shell received a complete new paint job in accordance with its original shade. This is still in excellent presentation condition showing a homogeneous tone and excellent brightness. After a professional polishing carried out with orbitals by our workshop, we noticed the presence of small scratches on the lower left front bavolet, as well as a fine corrected scratch on the lower part of the left front and rear fender. We also noticed a small barely visible dent on the roll-bar driver's side. The bumpers are perfectly aligned and in excellent condition, with no signs of impacts, cracks or deformations. The retractable front headlights work perfectly and show no signs of cracks or sealing issues. The original "Black" targa roof is in excellent condition and its sealing remains in accordance with original standards. The 4 original 16’’ wheels are in excellent condition despite some small traces of rubbing on the outer edges. These are mounted on MICHELIN tires with 30% wear both front and rear. This specimen comes with its original spare wheel as well as its jack. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options present on this model, we noted: the tinted "Blue" windshield the original "Black" targa roof. Interior: The interior has maintained its strict original configuration and appears in excellent presentation condition despite the average quality of materials used at the time. The "Beige" leather upholstery is in excellent condition, with no signs of tears, wear or discoloration. Only the outer edge of the driver's seat backrest shows a slight patina from getting in and out, and the seats have some small very minor surface scratches. The "Beige" leather door panels are in excellent condition. The "Black" leather dashboard and its visor show no signs of wear, discoloration or deformation.
