The story
1982 This sumptuous creation is one of the last four-seater Ferraris powered by the Colombo V12, the most prestigious engine in the entire history of the automobile. Initially, the 365 GT4 2+2 appeared at the Paris Motor Show in 1972, it was a sensation, a line of classic elegance and under the hood, the magnificent V12 directly from the legendary GTB/4 Daytona. Then the 400 evolutions were developed, and finally the 412, the final proposal. The miracle is the presence of this legendary mechanics in a family Coupé, still today, forty-five years later, perfectly versatile and offering daily joy. WHEN ENZO WAS IN CHARGE: THE FERRARIS OF THIS ERA ARE OBVIOUSLY A CLASS APART. Only 422 examples of the 400 benefited from the manual transmission, making it a very rare model that combines the convenience of injection with the pleasure of a manual gearbox. Its magnificent original color configuration adds greater interest to this specimen. The 2+2 models represent a class apart in the Ferrari house, the idea, born in the early sixties, of offering for family or daily use the essence of the legendary racing cars that stand out on all circuits of the planet... Of great historical interest, these models represent an increasingly relevant choice, now that the pleasure of driving becomes predominant, the V12 is savored, when extreme performance is unfortunately more difficult to exploit. The steering is assisted, the windows are electric, the cabin is spacious and bright, four adults can be accommodated, the trunk is generous. Those that were a bit forgotten a few years ago are now sought after. Times have changed, the trend has clearly tilted, rightly so. The very philosophy of this model allows you to enjoy the mechanical magic and elegance of this Classic Ferrari, to access the dream territory of all car enthusiasts, without constraints. AMONG ALL CLASSIC FERRARIS, THE V12S ARE THE QUEENS This specimen is in exceptional condition, bodywork, interior, and an examination on a lift reveals a general restoration, carried out a few years ago it seems, but few kilometers must have been driven since then. The exhaust lines are stainless steel. We have carried out a service that included the replacement of the clutch, flywheel, starter motor, and battery, as well as an adjustment of the rolling train geometry.
