If you thought that LaFerrari was the baddest, the most arrogant, the most narcissistic and the most powerful car of the Prancing Horse, well, you need to think again. Yes, because from Maranello come the images of the latest creation, namely the 812 Superfast, a car destined to surely go down in history. The newborn Ferrari succeeds the F12berlinetta and as per tradition in Maranello, the newly born model surpasses the old one in power. It is powered by a powerful 6.5-liter V12, capable of unleashing 800 horsepower on the asphalt at 8,500 rpm, ensuring a monstrous power: 123 hp per liter of displacement, “values never achieved in the past by front engines on production cars,” says the official note released by Ferrari. 80% of the maximum torque of 718 Nm (at 7,000 rpm) is already available at 3,500 rpm. For the first time, Ferrari has adopted a direct injection system at 350 bar, “together with the variable geometry intake ducts derived as a concept from aspirated F1 engines.” The performance follows suit: top speed exceeding 340 km/h, acceleration “0-100” in 2.9 seconds. Compared to the F12berlinetta, the Superfast is a little longer (4.66 meters instead of 4.62) but the weight remains the same: 1,525 kg. The design of the new Ferrari is due to the pencils of the Ferrari Style Center, led by Flavio Manzoni. The two-volume silhouette recalls the 365 GTB4 of 1969, they say from Maranello. Notable are the front light clusters (full LED) integrated into the design of the air intake sculpted in the engine hood.
