This Ferrari Dino 246 GT was completed in October 1972 (Type E) and then arrived in the United States via (Luigi) Chinetti Garthwaite Import Inc. The rare – and today even more sought after – delivery color was a paint in "Marrone Dino Metallizzato" (106-M-73) and a beige leather interior (VM3218). According to the online Dino registry, the 246 GT in the United States probably had only one owner until 1990 and was offered in the 1990/1991 period through a dealer as a "First Ownership Car". This led to a complete overhaul being carried out in 1992 at an authorized Ferrari dealer (sales/workshop) in Bavaria, documented with a detailed invoice of almost 70,000 DM.
