The mechanical innovation starts from the powertrain group composed of the new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that increases performance and driving comfort, combined with the renowned Ferrari V8 Turbo engine that delivers 620 HP (+20 HP compared to the engine of the Ferrari Portofino). Among the new features are also the new 5-position Manettino, a new loading line, and the availability of a new diamond-forged wheel. The engine of the Ferrari Portofino M is part of the turbo V8 family that won the International Engine of the Year award for four consecutive years. It is capable of delivering 620 HP; to achieve these performance levels, Ferrari technicians have used new camshaft profiles to modify the valve lift and optimize the charge exchange process within the cylinders. Additionally, a speed sensor has been introduced on the turbocharger group to measure the turbine's rotational speed, which has allowed for an increase in the maximum rotational speed of the latter by +5,000 RPM. In the exhaust system, the new particulate filter allows compliance with Euro 6D regulations without compromising driving pleasure.
