Since 1988, it has belonged to two collectors from Palermo until 2015 when it passed to the current owner, who initiated a long and meticulous reconstruction project, completed in 2023 and documented by an extensive collection of photographs showing all phases of the work: chassis, body, painting, mechanics, electrical system, and upholstery. Technical Features and Reconstruction The reconstruction was carried out adopting criteria that are extremely faithful to the construction standards of the Sport Stanguellini of the time. Expert bodyworkers shaped and recreated the bodywork using the measurements of the original tubular substructure as a reference, which provided the geometric guide to accurately reproduce the shapes, volumes, and proportions of the car. The quality of the workmanship is high: finishes, symmetries, and curves are perfectly consistent with the artisanal creations of the Forties. The FIAT 1100 engine was sourced by the current owner and subsequently completely restored to new, with total machining and complete replacement of all wear components, as detailed in the work list. An original Stanguellini gearbox is installed on the vehicle, a highly valuable element consistent with the sporty configuration of the model. All lists, invoices, and documentation of the work are available, issued by the various specialists who participated in the project.
