The story
FIAT 500 GIARDINIERA Classic Car Design offers you this rare mini break, a Fiat 500 Giardiniera. Variant of the famous "yogurt jar", it offers a flat loading surface behind the rear seat thanks to its horizontal engine, a solution devised by the father of the Fiat 500, Dante Giacosa. Produced until 1977 and starting from 1968 by Autobianchi, this one features the logo of this brand. Externally, the bodywork is in good condition with no scratches or dents. It has been restored and repainted in the past. The chrome and hubcaps are also well preserved or have been replaced. A characteristic of the Giardiniera, it retains the "suicide" opening doors while the sedan abandoned them in 1965. Inside, the cabin is also in original configuration. The unique odometer characteristic of this generation of 500 can be found. The upholstery has been redone, and the overall presentation is in line with the exterior. From a mechanical point of view, the car runs well. The air-cooled 499 cm³ two-cylinder starts perfectly and drives the car vigorously through its 4-speed gearbox. The brakes and suspension are up to par. The Fiat 500 Giardiniera appeals to those who wish to acquire a more original 500 than the sedan and practical with its true rear trunk. It is the ideal town car for going to the market on Sundays!
