The Ford GT Carbon Series is a factory-produced variant of the second-generation Ford GT, introduced for the 2019 model year. It was conceived as a lighter, track-focused interpretation of the standard GT while remaining fully street legal. The defining feature of the Carbon Series is its extensive use of exposed carbon fiber, including the central stripes, wheel covers, A-pillars, and lower body sections. Weight reduction has been achieved through the use of carbon fiber wheels, titanium wheel nuts, a titanium exhaust system, and other detail optimizations, resulting in a modest yet significant reduction compared to the standard car. Mechanically, it retains the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine, producing 660 hp, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. From a rarity perspective, the Carbon Series ranks among the less common factory-produced Ford GT variants. Although Ford has not publicly disclosed precise production figures, industry sources and owner registries generally indicate that production was limited to only a few dozen cars worldwide. This places it well below the already low overall production volume of the second-generation Ford GT and makes it significantly rarer than most other specifications offered during the model's lifecycle.
