The Gimson Skipper Trial is a trial bike produced by Gimson, a Catalan brand active mainly from the 1950s to the 1980s. Gimson, an acronym for Gimbernat i Sons S.A, was known for its small motorcycles and mopeds, very popular in Spain. The Gimson Skipper Trial was intended for trial initiation, a technical off-road motorcycle discipline focused on balance and precision. Its lightweight and modest engine made it an ideal machine for beginners or young riders. Regarding its heritage, the Gimson Skipper Trial is today a symbol of the small Spanish trial bikes of the 1970s. It is part of the golden age of many Iberian brands like Bultaco, Montesa, or Ossa, which dominated the world trial scene at that time. It is powered by a 49cc 2-stroke single-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed transmission. This rare 1971 example is in its original glitter orange livery, making it practically unique.
