It has the peculiarity of being made reliable for daily driving with, among other things: power steering, 5 Getrag gearbox, 4-piston front brake calipers, Koni gas shock absorbers, engine oil radiator kit, reinforced stabilizer bar, high-performance starter motor, high-flow fan, stainless steel exhaust system... Delivered new on January 4, 1962 in California, where it was restored in the 2000s, it then went to Germany and was purchased in 2007 by the current owner. The Burgundy shade, not original, gives it a particular charm, especially in the sun where it reveals all its splendor. The bodywork is well made, rather well preserved. The alignment of the openings is satisfactory according to the expert. No corrosion was found on the underbody, chassis rails, and floors. The interior is nicely presented. The seats, door panels, and dashboard are in excellent condition. The headliner shows no major defects. The instrumentation system is functional. Regarding the engine, the current owner has installed a 4.2l engine block fed by two SU carburetors. The car therefore benefits from a more powerful displacement for greater elasticity and comfort. The original Matching number 3.8L engine is sold separately from the car and has been completely restored by a specialist. The 4.2l block has been opened for a complete overhaul.
