Offered at an unbeatable price, its extraordinary design combined with very high-performance mechanics caused a stir at its press presentation: it was at the time the most affordable sports car in its segment while its 240 km/h top speed earned it the title of the fastest production car in the world. It logically enjoyed enormous commercial success and a long career, particularly in the United States where it evolved into 3 successive series. Presented at the London Motor Show in 1968, the series 2 and its 4.2L feature some aesthetic evolutions, mainly at the level of the headlights and dashboard. The gearbox is finally fully synchronized and the braking system significantly improved thanks to 3-piston calipers. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a JAGUAR Type E 4.2l Coupe Series 2 from September 1969 in its original "Cream" color (matching color). The paint is now in good presentation condition showing a uniform shade and excellent shine. After a professional polishing performed with orbitals by our workshop, we noticed the presence of small paint chips corrected on the front hood and a small dent on the left front wing pillar. The tinted windshield and tinted windows color "Green" are in good condition. The chrome front bumpers are perfectly aligned and in good condition. The front bumpers have some small dents. The 4 chrome spoke wheels 15'' and their chrome Knock offs are in good condition. The set is equipped with 4 VREDESTEIN Classic tires. The latter show less than 10% wear both front and rear. This specimen has retained its original spare wheel and Knock off key. Among the interesting external options and equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: The tinted windshield and tinted windows color "Green". Interior: The interior has maintained its strict original configuration (Matching color / JAGUAR Heritage Trust available) and appears in excellent presentation condition. The "Black" synthetic leather upholstery and matching piping are in excellent condition, with no signs of tears, wear or discoloration.
