The story

Jaguar XJ220 € 580,000 The 1990s were for many car enthusiasts the most beautiful years. It was the time of poster cars. F40, F50, EB110 and of course Diablo: many bedrooms were filled with posters of these cars. Jaguar ventured into this battleground with the XJ220, with which it wanted to prove that a Jaguar was not just meant for old men in red corduroy pants. Jaguar ventured into this battleground with the XJ220, with which it wanted to prove that a Jaguar was not just meant for old men in red corduroy pants. Initially, the prototype was equipped with a V12 under the glass cover, but strict emission regulations ruined the plans. It turned out to be too expensive to build the car with this engine, so an alternative was sought. A 3.5-liter V6 with two turbochargers was chosen, which had already proven itself in sports rallying at the sister company Rover. Initially, it seemed an unhappy choice for a supercar, but at its introduction the XJ220 was the fastest production car in the world. The car was developed and built in collaboration with TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing). In the end, only 281 units were built. It is therefore a unique car and we are proud to offer this specimen.
