In this regard, JAGUAR, whose Mark V is not yet ready, must urgently present a new model for the London Motor Show in 1948. Designed by Sir William Lyons himself in two weeks, the XK 120 - for 120 miles per hour - will definitively enter the brand into legend: despite a more than imperfect ergonomics, the car is fast and reliable, and the XK 120 will have immediate success. True to the spirit of the English roadster, the 120 will be available in both cabriolet and roadster versions. Body / Exterior: The model presented is a JAGUAR XK120 cabriolet from January 1953 in its period "Suede green" color. The body has been recently restored by a specialist. On this occasion, the shell has also received a complete new paint job. It is now in excellent presentation condition, showing a uniform shade and excellent brightness. After a professional polishing performed with orbitals by our workshop, we noticed a slight scratch on the top of the left front wing. The chrome bumpers and pads are perfectly positioned and in excellent condition. This specimen is equipped with fog lights and tripod front headlights. The black synthetic leather hood is in perfect condition. Its installation is easy and its waterproofing remains compliant with the standards of the time. This specimen is equipped with a beige mohair hood cover. This is in good condition despite a medium fit. The 4 new condition 16'' chrome spoke wheels and their new condition chrome JAGUAR knock-offs are in near-new condition. The set will be equipped with 4 new tires upon delivery. This specimen has retained its wooden knock-off key. Among the Body / Exterior equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: the beige mohair hood cover, the front LUCAS fog lights, and the tripod front headlights. Interior: The interior has been completely refurbished during the restoration of this XK 120 and is in near-new condition. The upholstery in "Green" leather and matching piping is in perfect condition. We noticed a small tear on the piping of the passenger seat. The interior doors in "Green" leather and walnut are in excellent condition. The dashboard is also in excellent condition and the entire on-board instrumentation is fully functional. The 4-spoke JAGUAR bakelite steering wheel is in good condition. The bakelite gear knob is in excellent condition, with no cracks or signs of wear. The green carpets matching the upholstery are in near-new condition. Among the interesting interior equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: the upholstery in "Green" leather and the walnut dashboard. Chassis: The bridge check confirms a sound chassis and shell, with no signs of apparent structural corrosion. The fundamentals: ladder frame, floors, longitudinal beams, sills, and wheel arches are in perfect condition. Reserve for use: as a principle, we cannot guarantee the perfection of the alignments beyond their good visual and functional state validated during the road test and the bridge check. During the dynamic test, we did not notice any abnormal parasitic noise at the level of the shell or the rolling trains (ball joints, silent blocks...). The braking is aligned and its effectiveness is compliant with the original. The front brake discs show wear.
