Furthermore, he had recruited W.O. Bentley from Rolls-Royce as technical director and a team of top engineers. His ambition was: "We will build the best car in the world in two years." As a result, all Lagonda vehicles, under the technical direction of W.O. Bentley, were increasingly equipped with cutting-edge technologies. This included a dual-circuit hydraulic braking system, independent suspension, adjustable shock absorbers from the steering wheel, and a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission. For safe driving of the LG 6 range, the robust and proven 4.5-liter six-cylinder Meadows engine took care of that, which had already proven its qualities with a victory at Le Mans.
