The Fulvia offers a decidedly sportier architecture: lively and agile, it is a precise and effective coupe that loves curves. The Fulvia quickly made a name for itself in rallying thanks to prestigious drivers. The most famous version will remain the Montecarlo, built to commemorate Lancia's victory in the World Rally Championship in 1971. Its brilliant 4-cylinder with a particular "side" architecture needs to be revved high but proves reliable as long as it is maintained. Not very comfortable and noisy because the 5-speed gearbox is short, the Fulvia remains one of the best driving schools. In 1965, LANCIA entrusted the ZAGATO design studio with the task of developing a "sport" version of the Fulvia. The in-house designer Ercole Spada proposed a new, more aerodynamic design. Thanks to the use of aluminum for the openings, the ZAGATO sports coupe gains 45 kg compared to the factory Fulvia version. Its attractive price, just above that of the factory version, will ensure it a commercial success never seen before at a coachbuilder. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a Lancia Fulvia Zagato Sport 1300 S from March 1971 in its period "Rosso Corsa" color. After a professional polishing carried out with orbitals by our workshop, we noticed some imperfections on the hood and the rear hatch, as well as on the bottom of the right front wing. We also noticed a small corrected scratch on the top of the right front wing. The aluminum doors are in excellent condition. The aluminum front (headlight frames + grille) is in good condition. We found a trace of oxidation on the left front headlight frame. The LANCIA grille motif shows slight crazing. The 4 aluminum wheels 14’’ type CROMODORA are in excellent condition. These are mounted on VREDESTEIN tires with less than 30% wear both front and rear. This specimen has retained its original spare wheel and jack. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: aluminum doors and 4 aluminum wheels 14’’ type CROMODORA. Interior: The interior has retained its strict original configuration and appears in excellent presentation condition. The "Black" synthetic leather upholstery is in excellent condition, with no tears, signs of wear, or discoloration. The same goes for the matching door panels. The wooden dashboard is in excellent condition. The headliner is also in excellent condition, with no cracks or breaks. The entire VEGLIA instrumentation is fully functional. The NARDI leather 3-spoke steering wheel and bakelite gear knob are in good condition. This specimen is equipped with 3-point front seat belts and a passenger support handle. The gray felt headliner shows slight sagging. The "Black" carpets are in good condition and show a uniform patina of use. Among the interesting interior options and equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: the passenger support handle, the 3-point front seat belts, and the NARDI leather 3-spoke steering wheel. Chassis: The lift confirms a healthy body, with no visible signs of accidents or apparent structural corrosion. The fundamentals: floor pans, longitudinal members, rockers, and wheel arches are in good condition. Reserve for use: as a principle, we cannot guarantee the perfection of the alignments beyond their good visual and functional state validated during the road test and the lift. During the dynamic test, we found no signs of any.
