Legendary English sports car par excellence, the ELAN and its 620 kg dry remain very light thanks to its fiberglass body. In fact, the 105 hp of the FORD 1600 TwinCam block appear more than sufficient to seek out much more powerful sports cars. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a LOTUS Elan S1 convertible from January 1964 color "British Racing Green/ Yellow". The paint is still in good presentation condition showing a uniform shade and excellent brightness. After a professional polishing carried out with an orbit from our workshop, we noticed some micro-bubbles and slight detachments on the front and on the trunk, a small paint chip corrected on the top of the passenger door and a slight alignment defect at the bottom of the doors. The black PVC hood is in excellent condition and its fit is in accordance with the standards of the time. The retractable headlights are perfectly functional although a bit slow to open. The chromed "Obus" type mirrors are in good condition. This specimen is equipped with a 6-point safety roll-bar. The 4 original 13'' steel wheels in "Gray" color are in perfect condition. The 4 FIRESTONE tires show 30% wear in front and 40% in the rear. This specimen has retained its original spare wheel. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: the chromed "Obus" type mirrors and the 6-point safety roll-bar. Interior: The interior has maintained its strict original configuration. This was restored in 2017 (invoice available) and still appears in perfect presentation condition today. The black leatherette upholstery is in excellent condition. The black leatherette door panels are in good condition except for the driver's door panel which has a small tear (10 cm). The black leatherette central armrest is in perfect condition. The wooden dashboard is also in excellent condition, with no cracks or breaks. The black leatherette visor is also in good condition despite a slight deformation. The entire SMITHS on-board instrumentation is perfectly functional. The LOTUS 3-spoke leather steering wheel and the LOTUS wooden gear knob are in excellent condition despite a slight patina of use. The black carpets are in good condition, with no signs of wear or discoloration. This specimen is equipped with a battery switch and a SABELT fire extinguisher. Among the interesting Interior equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: the LOTUS 3-spoke leather steering wheel, the LOTUS wooden gear knob, the battery switch and the SABELT fire extinguisher.
