The engine was derived from the V8 engine of the 450S racing car. Only 34 examples of the 5000GT were built worldwide. Of these, 21 had bodywork by Allemano, Turin. One of these cars is ours. The history is well documented and provable by photos. After its first registration in Rome, the car was sold to Venezuela. In 1989 the Maserati came back to Europe and was completely restored for 10 years. The extensive technical refurbishment was carried out by Maserati specialist Bill Mc Grath, GB. In 2012 our car participated in the Concorso d Eleganza Villa d Este. The Maserati is equipped with a rare ZF 5-speed gearbox, four disc brakes and air conditioning.
