Maserati Khamsin 1982

The story
It was delivered new in Geneva to His Highness Sheikh Hammad Al Thani, a well-known car collector and member of the Qatari royal family. Shortly thereafter, the car was acquired directly by Sheikh Al Thani from its second owner, who kept it in a climate-controlled storage. In May 2001, it was sold to its third owner at the Bonhams & Brooks auction of the Swiss Maserati Importer Collection, held during the Les Grandes Marques à Monaco sale. He drove the car for only 95 kilometers before consigning it again to a Bonhams auction in Monaco in 2008. At that time, the odometer showed only 1,299 kilometers. The Khamsin was then purchased by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohamed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, who imported it to Kuwait, where it saw minimal use. It remained with him for the next 14 years before we acquired it in 2021. Being one of the last left-hand drive Khamsins built - third to last overall - this is a rare opportunity to own a beautifully preserved and collector-grade example of Maserati's iconic GT. This car is available for viewing at our premises located in the south of France, by appointment only.
