The Maserati Mistral is a 2-seater grand tourer produced between 1963 and 1970. The successor to the 3500 GT was designed by Frua and bodied by Maggiora in Turin. A total of 828 coupes and 125 Spyders were built. It is the last Maserati equipped with the famous inline six-cylinder Twin-Spark engine with dual overhead camshafts. This engine was used in the Maserati 250F Grand Prix cars and won eight Grand Prix races between 1954 and 1960 and the Formula 1 World Championship in 1957 driven by Juan Manuel Fangio. The engine displacement increased over the production period, with the 4-liter engine representing the most powerful and desirable version.
