The story

Number 15 of 58 P1 GTRs built Mileage of only 1,200 km Hypercar track only Included P1 GTR accessories Included major service before delivery Condition of new car Tribute to the F1 GTR It is one of the most uncompromising hypercars in modern automotive history and was developed exclusively for track use. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, the model was born as a tribute to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR, which won the overall race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. Unlike the road-legal McLaren P1, the P1 GTR was not bound by homologation regulations and could therefore be designed without considering legal restrictions to maximize performance. Production was limited to just 58 units, making the P1 GTR one of the most exclusive vehicles ever produced by McLaren Automotive. The P1 GTR is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine in combination with an electric motor. Together, both power units develop a system output of 1,000 hp and a maximum torque of over 1,000 Nm. The transmission is via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheels. Thanks to the use of the latest hybrid technology, the P1 GTR combines the immediate power delivery of an electric motor with the extraordinary traction force of the supercharged V8, achieving performance comparable to that of Le Mans prototypes. Compared to the road-legal P1, the vehicle has been extensively developed. The track width has been widened, the weight reduced by around 50 kilograms, and the aerodynamics completely revised. A fixed rear wing with Drag Reduction System (DRS), a significantly larger front splitter, and a redesigned flat bottom increase the aerodynamic load to around 660 kilograms at 240 km/h. The chassis features adjustable racing components, a vehicle height lowered by 50 millimeters, and slick tires specially developed by Pirelli. The concept is completed by a carbon fiber body and a Monocage monocoque that ensures maximum rigidity with minimum weight. The interior also uncompromisingly follows the racing philosophy. Carbon shell seats, a FIA-compliant six-point harness, fire extinguishing system, roll-over protection, and a dashboard reduced to the essentials emphasize the character of the vehicle as a pure racing car. Today, the McLaren P1 GTR is considered one of the most powerful and exclusive track-only hypercars. Its limited number, uncompromising technical design, and connection to the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR make it one of the most sought-after collector vehicles of the 2010s hypercar era. It embodies McLaren's philosophy of combining the latest hybrid technology, lightweight construction, and uncompromising racing technology into a vehicle developed exclusively to maximize performance.
