The famous Pagoda would then be replaced by the new SL R107, which took up the brand's canons: a line that combines purity and classicism on which a heavy removable hard-top rests. The American market is by far the brand's first customer, so the new SL would adopt Californian standards: sportiness gives way to greater comfort and refinement, and the engines become cleaner and more powerful than the previous Pagodes. Likewise, the automatic transmission becomes the rule on this large GT that is now driven on torque. The last version, the 560 SL, sees its injection system made more reliable and its bodywork more effectively protected against corrosion damage. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a MERCEDES 560 SL from January 1987 in its original color "Signalrot 568" (matching color). The exterior bodywork is in good presentation condition. After a professional polishing performed with an orbit from our workshop, we noticed the presence of some micro scratches on the front hood and a dent on the left side. We also found a dent on the passenger and driver door. The chrome bumpers are perfectly positioned and in good condition. We noticed a small dent on the left rear bumper. The tinted "Grün" windshield is in good condition. This specimen is equipped with its original hard top color "Signalrot 568". Its micro-perforated synthetic leather roof lining in "Sand Beige" is in excellent condition. Its installation is easy and its fit is consistent with the original. The windows are also free of defects. We noticed a small dent on the driver side frame. The original mohair soft top in "Schwarz" is in excellent condition. The installation of the soft top is also easy and its fit remains consistent with the original. We noticed a slight trace of oxidation on the rear trunk handle. The fog lights are perfectly functional as is the third brake light. This specimen is equipped with a perfectly functional electric antenna. The 4 original 15'' alloy wheels are in excellent condition. These are mounted on 4 all-season tires with 20% wear both front and rear. This specimen has its original spare wheel and jack.
