Matching Numbers One of the best examples First class authentic This Mercedes 300 S left the factory in February 1953 as one of only 203 convertibles ever built. The paintwork in DB180 Silver corresponds to the data card, the engine is also still the "matching-numbers" unit. However, the original customer from Amsterdam cancelled his order shortly before completion and so the car could only be delivered a good year later, namely to New York. The prestigious Mercedes found its way back to Germany in 1986. It ran for a few years in Cologne and later in Baden-Wuerttemberg. All its owners must have handled the car very carefully. The gaps are, for a 300 S rather unusual, razor-sharp. Other details such as the Becker radio, the first-class chrome and the seemingly untouched wood on the dashboard also suggest a very high degree of originality. The convertible spent the last 10 years in a collection well known to us. For reasons of age, it is now for sale. In this quality usually not available on the market!
