The colour scheme in classic red with white leather interior gives it a sophisticated and elegant look and a touch of Hollywood glamour. Many details can be continually rediscovered. For example, the instruments set in mother-of-pearl, the ashtray on the dashboard or the chrome decorations, which often serve a function in a playful way. The "new" body was completed in 2001 with a high degree of perfection on the rolling chassis. The final completion of the entire vehicle took place at a renowned Mercedes Kompressor specialist in Germany, who also overhauled the mechanicals (transmission, steering, axles). The creation of the body is documented with numerous photos, and a list of the work carried out is available for the car's final completion. The engine is an original unit from the 500 K series, but without a proper match to the original chassis. The chemical composition of the chassis steel also corresponds qualitatively and quantitatively to the chassis steels used by Daimler Benz for the Kompressor vehicles of the 1930s. The geometric dimensions of the chassis also correspond to the original specifications. The front and rear axles are also original components of a 500 K type (W29 series). The original commissioner of the restoration owned the car until 2010. Then, the Spezial Roadster was sold to a Mercedes enthusiast in the Hamburg area, who has owned the car for 16 years along with other high-level classic Mercedes.
