MORRIS GARAGE then developed interesting technical innovations such as drop-down side windows, external door handles (absent on the "A") and above all a lighter and stiffer monocoque body that significantly improves the dynamic qualities and road holding of the B compared to competitors like TRIUMPH or MORGAN that still offer the outdated "separate chassis". Alongside the strictly 2-seater B roadster version, MG also developed a "2+2 coupé" version that offers 2 additional seats in the back to attract new customers: it will be the GT. Today suitable for the "VH", the MG B GT allows for the versatility of a car capable of daily driving in acceptable comfort, combined with the charms of an English coupé of the "shooting brake" type. In the end, this small coupé with playful yet sound behavior also has a brilliant and reliable mechanics, particularly thanks to its standard oil radiator. In practice, the MG B also proves to be inexpensive to maintain and, as is often the case with English cars, all spare parts are available new. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a MG B GT with Overdrive from October 1967 in its period "Black" color. The bodywork is in good presentation condition, showing a uniform shade and excellent shine. After a professional polishing performed with an orbit from our workshop, we found a scratch on the top of the right front wing, a defect under the paint on the passenger windshield frame, and defects under the paint on the contour of the right rear wing. The windshield, side windows, and rear window show micro-scratches. The chrome bumpers and pads are perfectly positioned and in good condition. We found a small dent on the right front bumper and a dent on the central rear bumper. The moldings and decorative ornaments are complete and in good condition. We found small dents on the door moldings. The 4 chrome spoke wheels 14'' and their chrome knock-offs are in good condition, despite some traces of dents. The FALKEN tires show 30% wear both front and rear. This specimen has retained its original spare wheel, jack, and hammer. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options that this specimen is equipped with, we found: The 4 chrome spoke wheels 14'' Interior: The interior is in excellent presentation condition. The "Black" leatherette upholstery and Red piping are in perfect condition. The interior door panels in "Black" leatherette with matching stitching are in excellent presentation condition. The rear bench in "Black" leatherette and Red piping has some tears on the top. The headlining is perfectly taut and in good condition, with no yellowing or tears. The dashboard and its "Black" leatherette cover are in excellent condition. The original SMITHS dashboard instrumentation is fully functional. The MOTO-LITA wooden steering wheel is in excellent condition as is the Bakelite gear knob. All the "Black" carpet is in excellent condition, with no stains or tears. The latter are protected by MG PVC mats. This specimen is equipped with 3-point front seat belts with retraction. Among the interesting interior equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: The "Black" leatherette upholstery and Red piping.
