The recipe remains identical: simple if not simplistic solutions, mechanical components derived from the mass production, a very low weight and footprint, all at an ultra-competitive price. To attract as many buyers as possible, MG abandoned the frog eyes of the first series that some deemed too cartoonish for a more reasonable look. The term midget, used before the war by MG on the M, D, and J series, means miniature in English and perfectly summarizes the concept of the car. Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a MG MIDGET MKIII from January 1974, in its period "White" color. The overall condition is excellent, showing a uniform shade and excellent brightness. After a professional polishing done with orbitals from our workshop, we noticed some paint chips on the edge of the driver's door. The bumpers and their chrome supports are perfectly positioned and in good condition despite some light signs of oxidation on the bumpers and some minor dents on the right support. The grille chrome is in good condition. The original moldings and decorative ornaments are complete and in good condition. The 4 original 13'' MINILITE type aluminum wheels are in excellent condition. The 2 front TRISTAR tires show 15% wear and the rear KUMHO tires show 25% wear. This specimen is also equipped with a black tonneau cover and a black hood cover in good condition. The Tan faux leather hood is in perfect condition. The installation is easy and the fit remains compliant with the standards of the time. This specimen features a chrome trunk painting (luggage rack) and its original steel spare wheel and jack. Among the interesting Bodywork / Exterior equipment and options that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: The 4 13'' MINILITE type aluminum wheels, the chrome trunk painting, the tonneau cover, and the hood cover. Interior: The interior is in good presentation condition. The faux leather upholstery in "Black" and matching piping is in good condition, with no signs of wear or sagging. The electric seats with headrests are fully functional. The matching faux leather door panels in "Black" are also in excellent presentation condition. The dashboard cover is in excellent condition, with no cracks, warping, or discoloration. This specimen is equipped with a USB SD radio and a fully functional PIONEER speaker. The SMITHS onboard instrumentation is fully functional. This specimen features a 3-spoke wood steering wheel type MOTOLITA in perfect condition. The MG wood gear knob has no cracks or breaks. Among the interesting interior equipment that this specimen is equipped with, we noted: The electric faux leather upholstery in "Black", the 3-spoke MOTOLITA wood steering wheel, and the MG wood gear knob. Chassis: The lift confirms a healthy body.
