Original NA racing car competed in the 1930s in races including Brooklands and Donington Park Fully documented history In Germany for 50 years / Ready for immediate use Participation in countless racing events This car was purchased in December 1934 by a gentleman L. Levy as a chassis directly from the factory, for which a special lightweight body was made. The engine was highly tuned and had a compression ratio of 9:1, a very light flywheel, and machined and polished intake and exhaust ports. The total costs of the completed car amounted to nearly £500. During 1935 Levy raced the car at both Brooklands and Donington Park, but without great success, as he was up against ERA vehicles and other more powerful cars. At the end of the season, the car was offered for sale by J.H. Bartlett Ltd in "The Motor" magazine for £245. It was purchased by A.F. Thatcher. Freddie Thatcher, a friend of Levy, raced the car until the end of 1938, mainly at Brooklands. During this time, the car was maintained by Brian Finglass, who had a workshop at Brooklands, and at the end of the 1936 season Finglass reshaped the intake ports, fitted other carburetor jets, and installed a higher rear axle ratio. The top speed increased by about 10% to 110 mph. Finglass never personally raced the car but completed numerous test laps at Brooklands. During Thatcher's ownership, the car was also used by the Haesendonk brothers in racing. Towards the end of 1938, when he retired from racing for work reasons, Thatcher put the car up for sale for £250. The next known race the car participated in took place in March 1939 at Brooklands, where it was driven by A.S. Whiddington. It did not place in the top ranks. Nothing is known about the car during the war period until Michael Holt purchased it in 1955 with an overhauled engine from a workshop in Hove. Jim Bellamy of Great Bookham, Surrey, bought the car around 1957 and dismantled it. He sold it in 1958 in pieces.
