The story
Model Mini Clubman Estate 1100 Austin (1979) Color Ice white body, brown velvet interior, red carpet and white patterned headliner. Features 1098 engine with HS4 single carburetor. Power 39hp – 5250 rpm. Weight 687 Kg. ULTRALITE 3.5X10 alloy wheels, Dunlop SP41 145 SR10 model. Max torque: 7.7 mkg – 2700 rpm. Year 1979 Condition We present to you a beautiful and very rare Mini Clubman 1100. Many are the peculiarities of this model starting from its ice white exterior color. Completely restored mechanically at RM garage workshops. Mainly we talk about the gearbox, clutch, engine, and revision of the entire cycle (suspensions, steering box, rubber supports…). It mounts a sports exhaust and a 1280 cc engine that has been overhauled and repainted in Cooper red with performance superior to that of a Cooper. Internally it is in good condition with its original seats and door panels, red carpet, and a cup-shaped steering wheel. Inside we also find a beautiful dashboard covered in Sky with 6 instruments like a Cooper, white instrument dials. The bodywork is in good condition with some minor work to be done considering the age of the car. Equipped with additional lights, plastic wheel arch trims, and chrome bumpers in excellent condition. A small chip even having a van for advertising, work, and any potential load. Very practical also for gatherings with a spacious trunk available to load suitcases and any equipment. It has the original black plates with province TO. Curiosity Thus, the Mini Clubman was launched in 1969. Compared to the classic version, the Clubman differed only in the front (square and elongated) and in the interiors (with redesigned dashboard and seats). The Clubman range also included the station wagon version (with restyled nose and tail identical to that of the classic Traveller), simply called Estate. The Clubman sedan suffered from an evident aesthetic imbalance, generated by the poor harmonization between the square front and the rounded tail of the Mini. The Estate was much more successful (with the side featuring a fake wood strip), in which the taut lines of the tail and the long wheelbase blended better (even than the Traveller) with the new front.
