The story

Henney was a vehicle manufacturer that, from 1934 to 1954, used the Packard chassis as a base to build special vehicles. 1939 is considered the company's most successful year. In that year, the company produced over 1,200 special vehicles, including hearses and ambulances. This vehicle is one of twelve airport limousines made in the early 1940s. For this, a Packard chassis with an extended wheelbase was used. However, the length of the Packard could not exceed 7.6 meters, otherwise it would not fit in the production hall elevator. This Packard Super Eight was sold in 1941 to the company "Smokey Mountain Tours" based in Ashville / North Carolina. They also added a convertible top and used the car for their tour fleet. At the time, the car bore the number 25 and was used until the company closed in 1970.
