Designed by Harm Lagaay's team, the 993 features a new face with headlights slanted like the 959 and a smooth, softened line compared to previous 911s. Although equipped with more pronounced curves than the 964, the reception of the 993 at the time of its presentation to brand customers will be more than reserved. The last air-cooled model, the 993 inaugurates a new flat 6 entirely made of aluminum with a displacement of 3600 cm3 and dual ignition. This is now equipped with a hydraulic valve clearance recovery system that allows for reduced maintenance costs. This block, treated with nikasil, progresses on all points: maximum power and torque. The new catalyst system profoundly modifies the output and now features 2 outlets. The G50 gearbox is also modified and lightened to receive a sixth gear without overweight. This does not allow for a significant increase in top speed but rather reduces consumption in sixth and above all - thanks to shortened ratios - significantly improves acceleration. The chassis is also deeply modified and progresses in terms of dynamics and passive safety, particularly thanks to the multi-link rear axle (LSA) which helps limit the effects of the rear overhang engine. Similarly, the softer power steering is also more precise. The downside, the very sharp front axle is sensitive and requires careful and regular adjustment Bodywork / Exterior: The model presented here is a 993 Carrera from December 1994 in its original "Nachtblau Metallic L 39C" color (matching color). The bodywork is in excellent presentation condition and the paint shows a uniform depth and brightness. The latter was restored a few years ago and the shell received a complete new paint job on this occasion. After a professional polishing carried out by our workshop, we noticed some small dust under the paint and small paint chips corrected. The bumpers are perfectly aligned and in excellent condition, with no signs of impacts, cracks, or breaks. As always, the lower return of the front bumper shows signs of rubbing. The tinted degraded windshield "Grun" shows slight scratching. This specimen is equipped with a sought-after option: the electric sunroof (option 650). The latter works perfectly and its seal remains compliant with the original. The 4 original "Cup" 17'' wheels (option 398) are in excellent condition despite some signs of rubbing on the edges. The 4 PIRELLI PZero tires show 15% wear both front and rear (Porsche standards). This specimen comes with its jack, original compressor, and spare wheel.
