& SCOTT MKIII 1998 for sale

One of the 17 original Mk III chassis produced from 1995 to 1998. Fitted with Judd V10 after the 2000 Daytona 24 Hours and still raced by Robinson throughout the 2001 season. Sold new to and managed by Robinson Racing from 1999 to 2001. Drivers included Jack Baldwin, George Robinson, Irv Hoerr, and occasionally Buddy Lazier and Hurley Haywood 1999 Rolex 24 at Daytona: Entered with Chevrolet V8; retired after 55 laps due to engine issues. Qualified 10th 1999 Sebring 12 Hours: Retired due to ignition problems. Qualified 13th, encountering issues Mid-Ohio USRRC (6/6/1999): Retired due to gearbox failure after qualifying 4th 1999 ALMS at Sears Point: Finished 11th, qualified 15th 2000 Daytona 24: Started 8th (grid 9th) but finished 35th. 2000 Homestead 250 Miles: With Judd GV4 V10, achieved a strong 2nd place at Watkins Glen 6 Hours (17/8/2000): Earned a podium in 3rd place 2001 Daytona 24: Qualified 2nd, but retired again due to engine failure. During 2001, the car recorded good finishes: 5th at Glen, 4th at Mid-Ohio, and 4th at Road America. It started life with a Chevrolet-based V8; later upgraded to a Judd GV4 and GV5 V10—a common and powerful swap that significantly improved performance. Its longevity—racing from 1999 at least until 2001—once again underscores the renowned durability and competitive design of the Mk III chassis. The previous collector and race driver raced the car in various events such as the HSC Classic 24 Hours at Daytona in 2022 and the Sebring Classic. Today, the car is fitted with a Ford V8 6L, is in excellent condition, and is sold with a very significant amount of spare parts.
