SIMCA 1200S COUPE BERTONE 1968 SIMCA 1200S COUPE BERTONE 1968 Red / Black imitation leather interior Collection registration Born from the collaboration between SIMCA and the famous coachbuilder BERTONE, the SIMCA 1200 S is quite rare on our roads. Produced only between 1967 and 1971 in 14,400 units, this small French sports coupe has everything to please. An aggressive front grille, air intakes on the hood in the style of Lamborghini Miura, and a sleek line. On the engine side, Simca relied on its Poissy 1204 cm3 block fed by two Solex double-barrel carburetors. 80 hp for 855 kg on the scale, performance that allows for enjoyment. This example is presented in beautiful condition. The Simca Club was able to provide us with part of the car's history, which has resided for several years with successive owners on the Côte d'Azur. More interestingly, it was long exhibited in an automotive museum in Switzerland. Indeed, the respect for these original conditions makes it an example very close to its factory condition. On the body side, a complete repaint was done a few years ago. It is shiny, well-stretched. The chrome is shiny and in excellent condition. It has its original steel wheels. The interior seems original to us (the smell rarely deceives..) and extremely well preserved, certainly explained by its presence in the Museum. The door panels, seats and backs, as well as the dashboard are in perfect condition. It has its original three-spoke wooden steering wheel. The instrumentation is functional. On the engine side, it is equipped with its block which appears to be original. The general condition of the compartment shows that it has always been maintained. In fact, the current owner has made recent expenses for normal wear parts: - clutch master/slave cylinder - rear engine mount - stabilizer bar bushing - steering column flex coupling - steering joint The last oil change was done in June 2025 at 43,137 km (current 5-digit odometer mileage 44,287). The car runs very regularly. The technical inspection is valid until July 2026. An opportunity to own a rare French sports coupe from the 70s, certainly a bit unknown but potentially a collectible in the making.
