SIMCA 1200S COUPE BERTONE 1968 SIMCA 1200S COUPE BERTONE 1968 Red / Black leatherette interior Collector's registration document Born from the collaboration between SIMCA and the famous coachbuilder BERTONE, the SIMCA 1200 S is quite rare on our roads. Produced only between 1967 and 1971 in 14,400 units, this small French sports coupe has everything to please. An aggressive front grille, air intakes on the hood in Lamborghini Miura style, and a sleek line. As for the engine, Simca relied on its Poissy 1204 cm3 block fed by two Solex twin carburetors. 80 hp for 855 kg on the scale, performance that allows for fun. This specimen is in excellent condition. The Simca Club has communicated part of the car's history, which has been with subsequent owners on the French Riviera for several years. More interestingly, it was long displayed in a car museum in Switzerland. In fact, the preservation of these original conditions makes it a specimen very close to its factory state. As for the bodywork, a complete repaint was done a few years ago. It is shiny, well-stretched. The chrome is bright and in excellent condition. It has its original steel wheels. The interior seems original to us (the smell rarely deceives..) and extremely well preserved, certainly explainable by its presence in the Museum. The door panels, seats, and backs, as well as the dashboard are in perfect condition. It has its original three-spoke wooden steering wheel. The instrumentation is functional. As for the engine, it has its apparently original block. The general condition of the engine compartment shows that it has always been well maintained. In fact, the current owner has incurred recent expenses for normal wear parts: - clutch master/slave cylinder - rear engine mount - stabilizer bar bushings - steering column joint - steering joint The last maintenance was performed in June 2025 at 43,137 km (current 5-digit odometer reading 44,287). The car runs very regularly. The technical inspection is valid until July 2026. An opportunity to own a rare French sports coupe from the 70s, certainly a bit unknown but potentially a collectible in the making.
