The story
With all the VW air-cooled meetings coming up, this Volkswagen Beetle might be just the thing for someone who has always wanted to run a quarter-mile but doesn't have the budget to have a really fast engine built. We are talking here about a race Beetle (with German papers) that in its day ran the quarter-mile in 12.8 seconds. According to the previous owner, it has a 2-litre Type 1 engine with an Okrasa crankshaft, a turbo setup with a 48 Weber, and so on. Good for 150 hp. The Beetle itself is nothing special. Welded here and there. A fun Beetle for the coming race season at Spa and at the European Bug-In. Buy it together with a few friends and you are guaranteed plenty of fun! The engine runs like a rocket. You could also buy this Beetle just for the engine and fit it into your own VW T1, T2 or Beetle. Building an engine like this costs a fortune, so grab the bargain. In short, a fun project for little money. Papers are included, so a Dutch registration is possible. Are you thinking of selling your classic Volkswagen or Porsche? Are you thinking of selling your classic Volkswagen or Porsche? You have come to the right place. We are interested in T1, T2 and T3 vans and campers, but also in a split-window or oval-window Beetle, a 1303, a 1302 Beetle, and for example a Karmann Ghia. As for Porsche, we are especially interested in the 914, 365, 911 and 912 models, both in coupé and targa versions.
