Volkswagen T1 Bus Pick-up 1964 for sale

For sale: a unique and distinctive 1964 Volkswagen T1 Spijlbus Pick-up – a piece of history on wheels with a special story. This pick-up was delivered new in 1964 to Antioch by the Volkswagen dealer J.C. Dunn Motors. Special detail: the original purchase receipt is still present, as well as several invoices from the past. The original dealer license plate holder has also been preserved – a rare piece of authenticity. The first owner, Mr. Hurkman, ordered this new pick-up and at the time chose only one extra option: an additional loading door under the loading floor – a luxury addition that at the time cost only $29.95. For many years this truck served faithfully, until it disappeared from circulation in 1996. In 2005, this particular T1 was found by us in Bakersfield, during one of our trips to California. After arriving in the Netherlands, it quickly found a new enthusiast. For this owner, we slightly modified the pick-up: subtly lowered with lowered spindles in the front and one less notch on the rear springs. It was also completely technically checked and fitted with stylish Flat4 wheels and Safari windows. Now, 21 years later, this iconic pick-up is back at Kieft & Klok.
