The story
When the VW T2 was introduced in 1968, the idea of the camper had already taken hold and VW campers had become an essential part of the VW family. As with the T1, kits developed by Westfalia were also available for the TS. These equipment sets were named after various European cities, including Oslo, Zurich, Rome, Madrid, Stockholm, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. The offered VW T2b Westfalia is a rare camper with Madrid equipment. The car is in its original unrestored condition. The paintwork is largely the original paint. The special "Madrid" equipment includes the following components: • Cabinet with refrigerator and water tank • Sink with manual pump • Shelf with folding table • Cabinet with propane gas stove • Side padded bench with storage space • Rear padded bench with storage space • Padding in the engine compartment • Multifunctional cabinet • Spare wheel cover • Swivel dining table The offered Westfalia was equipped for the French market and was completed on February 22, 1972. At that time, it was fitted with yellow headlights, typical of France. In addition to an awning, it also has an original Westfalia tent. Over the last 42 years, the "Westy" has been regularly used and has traveled all over Europe. In 2012, it arrived in Germany via a route that took it from France to England.
